Announcing the CloudBerry™ Forum!

Since I started here at CloudBerry one of the questions I kept asking was “why don’t we have our own forum?” The answer was that we used to have a forum several years ago but that was before we had a lot of customers. Participation was low and it wasn’t deemed as a necessary resource at the time so the forum was closed. Now that we have tens of thousands of customers and we see questions come up in popular places like Reddit, Spiceworks, Server Fault and others, we feel it’s time to offer our customers a CloudBerry specific place to ask questions and get answers. We Introduce CloudBerry Dedup Server 1.1

This article refers to CloudBerry Dedup Server 1.1 and later.

We keep enhancing CloudBerry Dedup Server so that you can deduplicate your cloud backups.  With this release, we have added a couple of new features:

  • Compression
    Use the cloud storage space even more effectively and save Internet traffic by compressing the data you send to the cloud.
  • Encryption
    Stay safe by encrypting your backups with 256-bit AES algorithm.

We are glad to announce our new product – CloudBerry Dedup Server!  CloudBerry Dedup Server is a data deduplication software for Windows Server. It is designed to reduce size of your backups by recognizing and storing only one copy of identical blocks across all files. The program works in conjunction with CloudBerry Backup and processes all the data received from client workstations and servers.
