On July 17, 2018, Amazon Web Services hosted an annual summit in New York. With more than 10,000 cloud computing practitioners, it was definitely one of the biggest AWS events. Here's a short recap of the conference from CloudBerry Lab.
Today we’re excited to launch a new resource for our Managed Service Provider community. MSP Voice is a new podcast from MSPs for MSPs. Each week we plan on releasing a new episode where we interview different MSPs about their business and how they got started. We want this to be a community resource to help all MSPs gain insights into the business of being (or becoming) an MSP. Continue reading

Last week we learned that Carbonite is acquiring yet another disaster recovery company, Mozy. I have no special insights as to what Carbonite plans with Mozy but I do have some speculations. Continue reading
Since I started here at CloudBerry one of the questions I kept asking was “why don’t we have our own forum?” The answer was that we used to have a forum several years ago but that was before we had a lot of customers. Participation was low and it wasn’t deemed as a necessary resource at the time so the forum was closed. When I left Veeam back in April 2017 I announced that I was taking the summer off to focus on myself and staying home for a bit. The summer turned into Fall and then Winter but I’m happy to say that I’m back in the game again working with CloudBerry and their great set of products. You may notice that CloudBerry has some relation to Veeam, most notable is that Ratmir Timashev (Veeam co-founder) is on their board. The other great thing about CloudBerry is that a lot of the people have worked together before, going from Aelita to Quest to Veeam and then CloudBerry. It’s great to be working with a familiar group of people again. Continue reading
