The latest version of CloudBerry Explorer for OpenStack is out, featuring a revamped chunk upload mechanism. Needless to say, the files now take appreciably less time to upload. Read on to learn more about the novelty.
Parallel chunk upload
As you know, all versions of CloudBerry Explorer utilize parallel file upload to drastically expedite the file transfer between the computer and the cloud. Better still, some of them enable you to take advantage of parallel chunk upload — the functionality that we're now bringing to CloudBerry Explorer for OpenStack. Starting with version 1.6.4 onward, the program will concurrently upload chunks to leverage multi-threading on the chunk level. Also, don't forget that the size of chunks can be specified in the app settings, under Advanced.
