We're continually adding new ones and thus announce the support for Minio object storage in the latest iteration of our flagship backup product — CloudBerry Backup 5.6. In this article we discuss the matter at length and illustrate the setup process.
Minio is an S3-compatible distributed object storage built for cloud application. It is available free of charge, released under Apache license v2.0. Yet what sets apart Minio from the competitors the most is unquestionably its simplicity and effortless deployment. Being an ope-source project, Minio has an active developer and user community. Feel free to familiarize yourself with their comprehensive documentation that explains in detail the deployment and configuration process. Now let's proceed to utilize Minio as backup destination of choice in CloudBerry backup 5.6.
To add Minio to the list of your backup destinations, click Add New Account.
Under New, click Minio.
The newly appeared dialog window will prompt you to enter the display name and required credentials: access key, secret key, and service point.
Then proceed to specify the bucket or create a new one. Click OK.
Having set up the backup destination, you may use start using it when configuring backup plans in the Backup Wizard.
