CloudBerry Backup Now Supports OpenStack Keystone Authentication

August 23, 2012

Newport Beach, CA, CloudBerry Lab has released CloudBerry Backup version 2.9.1, an application that allows users to online backup data to their cloud storage accounts such as OpenStack, Amazon S3, Windows Azure or Google Storage.

CloudBerry Backup is a powerful online backup and restore software designed to automate encrypted and compressed data backup to public cloud storage and to make any disaster recovery plan simple, reliable, and affordable.

The latest version of CloudBerry Backup comes with a full support for OpenStack Keystone Identity Service which is an OpenStack authentication project that provides Identity, Token, Catalog and Policy services. Keystone was developed for use specifically by the services in the OpenStack family such as Compute (Nova), Image Service (Glance) or Object Storage (Swift).

From this release customers of OpenStack Object Storage based service providers (RackSpace, HP Cloud, Haylix) that implemented Keystone authentication can leverage CloudBerry Backup solution to automate their offsite backup to OpenStack Object Storage.
