Intelligently upload data to Amazon S3 with CloudBerry Explorer Upload Rules.

CloudBerry Lab has released CloudBerry Explorer v1.7, an application that allows users to manage files in Amazon S3 buckets just as they would on their local computers. CloudBerry Explorer allows end users to accomplish simple tasks without special technical knowledge, automate time-consuming tasks to improve productivity.

New version of CloudBerry Explorer supports several new features such as large objects copy and upload rules.

Amazon S3 has been offering Multipart Upload functionality that allowed objects to be uploaded in small chunks making the upload process faster and more reliable. it also allows uploading objects up to 5Gb. Now this feature is extended to support Large Objects copy.

Users can now copy objects up to 5 terabyte. Using multipart enables you to copy many parts of the object in parallel making the copy operation faster for these large objects. New version of CloudBerry Explorer comes with the full support for large objects copy.

This release will make it easier to apply predefined settings to the objects. Encryption and Compression has been part of CloudBerry Explorer PRO since the first release. Now you can optionally enable encryption and compression on a more granular basis for selected buckets only. Users can also configure the predefined set of HTTP headers for every upload. this is useful if for instance you use one of the buckets for data backup while other buckets for serving the files on a website.

CloudBerry Explorer is designed to work on Windows 2000/XP/Vista and Windows 7 and Windows Server 2003/2008. Microsoft PowerShell command line interface allows advanced computer users integrate Amazon S3 storage access with other routines.

CloudBerry Explorer for Windows is a freeware. CloudBerry Explorer PRO costs $39.99 (US). You will continue to pay Amazon directly for their S3 charges.
