How to Use Azure Dev Storage with MSP360 Explorer

Especially for developers, Microsoft Azure gives an opportunity to work with a local emulator for Azure Storage – Microsoft Azure Storage Emulator which is available as a part of Microsoft Azure SDK (for more information see Difference Between the Storage Emulator and Azure Storage Services).
In our MSP360 Explorer for Azure, we support Microsoft Azure Storage Emulator. To enable it in, use «Development Storage» checkbox in your Azure account settings.

We always support the latest version of Azure BLOB Service REST API in our MSP360 Explorer, but sometimes Microsoft updates API without SDK update. As a result, MSP360 Explorer works well with Azure Cloud Storage but doesn't work with Development Storage.
For example, the Azure Storage Services update was released on August 15, 2013,  but the new Azure Storage Emulator version came out only on January 26, 2014. During this time MSP360 Explorer users couldn't work with Azure Storage Emulator.
You should track the Microsoft Azure Storage Team Blog for the new releases of SDK that includes Microsoft Azure Storage Emulator.
Note: As of May 28, 2014, MSP360 Explorer has been working with the latest version of Azure Storage Emulator.
